Hindsight is 20/20!!! When you look back at certain situations, you can see the "outs" you had. You recognize the many moments you had to flee from temptation and instead you just kept going full steam ahead. This article is a good look and the book a must read for anyone teaching or ministering to teens and college students....or anyone for that matter. Prof Joe keep doing your thing!!

This a great question, and one I get asked a lot. To find someone who's done what you want to do isn't difficult; it just requires consistency and patience. Start by creating three (3) lists of potential contacts: 1.) Those you'd MOST like to meet; 2.) Those who are the EASIEST to meet; and 3.) and those who NOT THERE YET, but farther ahead than you. Then I would simply start an email/twitter/facebook/text campaign (but no stalking please) to set up a 5 minute interview (that's it, only 5 mins) to talk to them about their career and their success. Not all of them will say yes, but many of them will. The key is to NEVER stop asking until you get a NO. I'm not talking about a "no response," I'm talking about a "no." And once you get a "no," just say, "next." Trust me, if your list is long enough, SOMEBODY is going to say "yes." They always do. Good luck.
